Christmas Tree Lane Opens at the Promenade Mall

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and, at the Promenade Mall in Temecula, you can enjoy the beauty of holiday decorations while also donating to a good cause, when local holiday shopper’s favorite, Christmas Tree Lane, officially opens on Saturday, November 8th.

A fundraiser now in its eighth year, the non-profit organization Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley has been asking volunteers, designers and businesses to donate their time and funds to decorate unique Christmas trees, all with different themes and styles, to be raffled off to support their charitable efforts.

This year’s decorating theme is Home is Where Your Story Begins, allowing artists to choose from a broad range of topics and décor.

“The trees were decorated by a multitude of professional designers and volunteers,” Tammy Marine, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley said. “Some of our twenty themes include a sock monkey tree, a San Diego Chargers Tree, a ‘Frozen’ tree and the always popular ‘Giving Tree’ gift certificate tree.”

Additional themes of the spruced-up spruces include “Beauty and the Beast,” vintage, recycled, snowman and everyone’s favorite beagle, Snoopy.

Located in the corridor just outside Macy’s, Christmas Tree Lane gives visitors the chance to not only view the elaborately adorned trees but purchase raffle tickets to actually win one of the twinkling yuletide creations. Tickets can be purchased for $1 each or $5 for 10 and patrons will be able to designate which specific tree they are interested in winning. All proceeds will go directly to Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley.

The winners of each tree will be drawn and announced at 7pm on December 15th at Christmas Tree Lane. Winners do not need to be present to win.

For a very small amount of money, the raffle at Christmas Tree Lane is the perfect opportunity to take in a little Christmas scenery while also spreading seasonal cheer to those in need.

“We encourage everyone to come out and see the trees and we promise you will be inspired and delighted by the artistry of Habitat for Humanity’s Christmas Tree Lane,” Marine said. “This year’s theme, Home is Where Your Story Begins, appeals to people of all ages, interests and tastes, but the best part is that for only a dollar, you get a chance to own one of these spectacular trees, and all to benefit poverty housing.”
