On Saturday, November 15th, the Christmas shopping season officially begins when Santa makes his way to the throne where he will delight children every day through Christmas Eve and the members of the Promenade staff are pulling out all the stops to make the jolly elf feel welcome.

It’s been 25 years since Temecula became an incorporated city and the Community Services Department is pulling out all the stops, with 25 Days of Fun. Beginning November 11th, activities will be held all over town highlighting the people and organizations that make Temecula such a unique and beloved community.

It’s that haunted time of year, where ghosts, goblins, witches, bats and skeletons roam the neighborhood streets. But at the City of Temecula’s Halloween Carnival, they will all be lining up to be judged, along with dozens of Disney princesses, Ninja Turtles and maybe even the Hulk.

Just looking around the Temecula Valley and you can tell how rich in historical significance the area really is, but how well do you really know the heritage of our community? If you have questions about Temecula or would just like to hear the stories about how the city came to be, the Temecula Valley Museum has the perfect way to learn about the town’s history while getting a little exercise in the process, with their Walking Tour of Old Town.

Temecula high school girl turned successful recording artist, Xenia Martinez, now known simply as Xenia, is using her celebrity for a good cause this weekend, headlining an evening full of music, food, fun and entertainment, all to help support local foster parents and adoption families. Now in its second year, the Rose Again Foundation is a local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of foster and orphaned children in our community.

It’s hard to get into the Halloween spirit when it’s still 90 degrees outside, but the City of Temecula has created the perfect way to combine Indian summer weather with autumn fun. On Friday, October 3rd, the City of Temecula Recreation Department is hosting its annual Pumpkin Plunge where participants of all ages can swim their way to the pumpkin of their choice.

What choice did I have but to do a little research and actually answer some of the questions that have been not only weighing on my mind, but apparently on yours as well. On Friday, September 26th at 7pm, Make a Difference will be hosting a movie night as a way the community can help support the Morgan’s as well as spend time with their family, friends and neighbors. It is a free event but donations are strongly encouraged. All proceeds will be donated to the Morgan family.
