Special Needs Park Hosts Summer Program
When the City of Temecula debuted the Eagle Soar Playground and Splash Pad, designed for children and families with special needs, it was just one more example of how our city leaders strive to include every member of the community in the fun. Now, Thursdays at Eagle Soar will feature even more fun and learning activities with special needs children and families in mind.
On Thursday, July 16th, the City of Temecula, in collaboration with Our Nicholas Foundation (ONF), will launch a five week Special Needs Summer Program every Thursday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Eagle Soar Playground and Splash Pad; located at Margarita Community Park.
Activities will include crafts, sensory areas, coloring stories, and more. Each event will be facilitated by Comprehensive Autism Center (CAC) and the Van Avery Youth activists that have been training through CAC’s Community Cares program for peer modeling and social skills. Therapists are welcome and parent participation is required.
Registration will be on-site the day of each event. For more information, please contact Jennifer Smith at (951) 395-0289 or the Temecula Community Services Department at 951-694-6480.
It’s summer fun for everyone at Eagle Soar Playground and Splash Pad!
