Quiz: How Well Do You Know Temecula?
If this doesn’t deter you from parking here, I don’t know what will.
This is the gate of the historic Hotel Temecula on Main Street in Old Town. What I’ve always referred to as the “scary parking mural,” is actually a work of art by the daughters of artist Leverne Parker, who owned the historic estate and used it as a private residence until her death in 2004. Recently purchased by a Canyon Lake couple, attorneys Richard Beck and Christine Greer, the property is currently being brought back to her original glory and will one day reopen as a hotel and museum.
