German rock band, the Scorpions, have been rocking audiences “like a hurricane” for half a century and, after seeing them live in 1983, Jeff Ciavardini’s admiration for the band was solidified. A few decades later, Ciavardini wanted to take his love for Scorpion’s music one step further than the average fan.
The Dangerous Types Pay Tribute to The Cars
It’s hard to think about the iconic music of the 1980’s without remembering the award-winning Mtv music video for The Cars’ number one single, “You Might Think,” where a cartoonish representation of lead singer Ric Ocasek appears to model Susan Gallagher as a submarine, a robot monster and even King Kong. The image may seem silly now, but the music of The Cars helped shaped not only the sound of their own decade but has also inspired musicians ever since.
Mount Palomar Winery Stomps in the Fall
It’s harvest time in the Temecula Valley and vineyards all over wine country are collecting the cherished crop that will be used to make the merlots, chardonnays and pinots of the future. To kick off the autumn season, Mount Palomar Winery is hosting their annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival this Sunday.
