Grammy Award-winning pop legend and dance superstar Paula Abdul has announced a new North American tour this fall – STRAIGHT UP PAULA! – her first solo outing in over 25 years.

On a warm summer’s eve, on a train bound for nowhere, the hero of country music legend Kenny Rogers’ epic musical narrative, “The Gambler,” met a drifter who taught him the meaning of life and the rules you have to follow to get by in his world. For Rogers himself, personal fulfillment is not about knowing when to hold ‘em or when to fold ‘em.

Having just been added as the opening act for country superstars Sara Evans and Martina McBride, Temecula Road has reached the kind of success many new acts take years to achieve, almost overnight. But that skyrocketing success has seen its consequences for three performers so young.

Broadway musicals have had an array of subjects ranging from gang wars to alley cats to man-eating alien plants. Chess the Musical takes a two-person intellect driven board game and uses it as the backdrop for drama, rock music and romance.

The Old Town Temecula Community Theater’s new season’s schedule includes new additions as well as returning favorites from resident companies. Popular performance series’ including classical, dance, groove, legends, Hawaiian, big band and many others are back this year with exciting new guest performers and shows.

Appearing at Pechanga Resort & Casino on June 25th, Fator’s current touring show gives the audience a behind the scenes look at the entertainer’s rise to fame; one that his fans played a unique, contributing role.

The Old Town Temecula Community Theater is about to have some enchanted evenings, when Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Tony Award-Winning musical, South Pacific takes the stage May 26th through June 12th; presented by the Temecula Valley Players.

The Fine Arts Network Theatre Company, in association with the Temecula Preparatory School’s Patriot Players, present Edges: A Song Cycle on select dates in April and May at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

After highlighting such songwriting greats as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber in many past performances, this month’s Cabaret at the Merc, Generation: Next, aims the spotlight on those songwriters and shows just recently emerging from the shadows.
