Ho Ho Ho and Good Grief! Santa Arrives With Help From Charlie Brown

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but jolly old St. Nick is returning to the Promenade Temecula on Saturday, November 21st – just in time for Black Friday sales. But instead of his reindeer or a few of the elves, this year the man in red is bringing everyone’s favorite blockhead.

Every year, Santa’s arrival at the mall is accompanied by a night full of festive fanfare, including a tree lighting, musical performances, fireworks and even So Cal “snow.” But this year, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang, currently stars of their own feature length film, are along for the ride.

The yuletide fun will feature a special Charlie Brown Christmas show presented by Christian Youth Theater Riverside as well as performances by Dunamix Dance and Resonate Vocal Group. In addition, this free holiday event will also feature a synchronized jazz performance from Vista Murrieta High School and musical selections by Hijinx and Joy Song.

The evening will culminate with the lighting of the 36-foot Christmas tree, fireworks with a snow-filled finale and, of course, the arrival of the ambassador of the holidays himself, Santa Claus.

The pre-show begins at 6:00 p.m. with the main show promptly at 7:00pm. Parents are encouraged to arrive early for the children’s light wand giveaway for kids, ages 10 years old and under. Light wand quantities are limited and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Once Santa touches down in Temecula and the Promenade Temecula’s arrival event comes to an end, he will be available for visitors at the mall until the afternoon of December 24th. I hear he’s pretty busy that night, though, so catch him before he flies away!
