Your Guide to New Year’s Eve in Temecula

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Temecula Wine Country

South Coast Winery Resort and Spa
34843 Rancho California Road, Temecula

This one is something right out of a Nora Ephron movie! (Google it.)

South Coast’s Vineyard Rose Restaurant will be hosting their “All That Glitters” New Year’s Eve celebration, which probably embodies everything you have in mind, when it comes to the parties we see in movies and on television.

Don your finest party attire and enjoy a five-course meal with a choice of entrees and a bottle of South Coast wine while listening to the six-piece band, Retro Soul.

Tickets are $165 (plus tax and gratuity) per person, but it’s an all inclusive night with the five-course dinner, a bottle of wine, entertainment, champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. This elegant affair begins at 7:30 pm and ends roughly at 12:30 am.

Special NYE hotel room rates are available, so make sure you mention you are attending the party when making your reservation. For tickets and information on “All That Glitters” call 951-491-8077.

Wilson Creek Winery and Vineyards
35960 Rancho California Road, Temecula

When imagining what you will wear this NYE, do you automatically think bell bottoms, Guess jeans, or the Member’s Only jacket you know is still in the closet? Are you just looking for somewhere to revisit that 1994 prom dress? Well, Wilson Creek has the party for you!

Time traveling is the theme of Wilson Creek’s “Decades,” which invites guests to party like its 1999, or 1989, or 1979. Come dressed in your favorite decade-specific costume from the 1970’s to today. Enjoy food stations with a forty years of favorites (fondue anyone?) and practice doing the Hustle, the Electric Slide or the Macarena because the live band, Sibling Rivalry, as well as a DJ, will be playing tunes from your youth.

Grab your complimentary party favors and commemorate the evening with a trip to the photo booth.

The party begins at 7:30 pm and tickets are $195 ($175 wine club) plus tax and gratuity, but it includes everything mentioned above as well as an OPEN beer, wine and sparkling bar. So, plan on taking a taxi and get your money’s worth!

Reservations are required so visit Wilson Creek’s website at wineresort.com for more information.

Wiens Family Cellars
35055 Via Del Ponte, Temecula

Wiens Family Cellars will be bringing back the generations-old tradition of masquerade balls with their New Year’s Eve celebration. For those of you who may be new to the concept, this means formal attire and a little, sparkly mask on a stick. This does NOT mean show up in a gorilla costume.

An after-dinner event, Wien’s Masquerade Ball will be held from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am. Your $65 ticket ($52 wine club) includes a complimentary glass of wine, party favors, appetizers and live music as well as a DJ. Formal attire, as per tradition, is encouraged. It’s like a little piece of history… but with drinks.

For ticket information, visit wienscellars.com.
