City of Temecula Celebrates 25 Years with 25 Days of Fun
Better stop by the mall and pick up a gift because the City of Temecula is celebrating its silver anniversary and the party is lasting for 25 days!
It’s been 25 years since Temecula became an incorporated city and the Community Services Department is pulling out all the stops, with 25 Days of Fun. Beginning November 11th, activities will be held all over town highlighting the people and organizations that make Temecula such a unique and beloved community.
“Temecula’s 25th anniversary year has given me time to pause and reflect on the city’s accomplishments and I am very proud of what I see,” Council Member Ron Roberts said. “We built this city on a strong foundation and I am confident Temecula will prosper into the future.”
Festivities kick off on November 11th, with the City of Temecula’s Veteran’s Day Patriotic Celebration, presented by the Inland Valley Symphony and culminates with the always popular Santa’s Electric Light Parade through Old Town on December 5th; this year with a silver anniversary theme.
Other activities on the 25-day schedule include a Silver Anniversary Tea Party at the Temecula Valley History Museum, a Black Friday Rally at the Temecula Promenade and a 25th Anniversary Open House and Reception at City Hall.
Residents even have the chance to vote for their favorite businesses by participating in the the “My Favorite Temecula,” survey, which includes categories like Favorite Pizza Place, Favorite Winery or Brewery and Favorite Place to Play.
There will also be photo contests and opportunities for Temecula residents to share their own memories by sending in images highlighting what it’s like to live in the community.
Throughout the month of November, What’s Up? Temecula will be covering events commemorating this exciting time for the city, so check back frequently for stories on this exciting time in Temecula.
