Hey Paisanos – Europa Village Winery Presents “The Altos” Murder Mystery Dinner
Are you still upset that we may never really know what happened to Tony Soprano when the screen went black? Well, that pain may never fully heal but hopefully, by now, you’re able to look at the entire incident with a sense of humor because that’s exactly what you’re going to need, when Europa Village Winery presents “The Altos” Murder Mystery Dinner.
“The Altos” is a comedy spoof of the award-winning HBO series, The Sopranos; which picks up right where the drama left off – at Tony’s funeral (or is it)? Directed by Brittany Campbell, “The Altos” involves the audience in a madcap evening of crazy characters, including Tony’s wife, parents and shrink, who are trying to figure out exactly who put a hit out on poor Tony.
The performance takes place during a three-course meal prepared by Europa’s acclaimed Executive Chef Dean Thomas. You’ll feel like part of the Italian family, as the evening starts off with a welcoming glass of sangria. First course is champagne-vichyssoise with chive crème fraiche, followed by an entrée of syrah braised beef and chimichurri shrimp with truffled soft polenta and Peltzer Farms veggies. The gourmet meal concludes with a strawberry-filled confection for dessert. Europa Village wines will be available for purchase.
Performances for “The Altos” will take place Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16, at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $70 each for Saturday’s show; $65 on Sunday and there are discounts for wine club members. For tickets and information, visit the Europa Village website.
So, check your weapons at the door and join your mafia family for some gobagool (mafia speak for food), and a little mystery. But, if “Don’t Stop Believin’” starts playing on the jukebox, heed my advice and take cover or you and your wiseguys will be sleeping with the fishes.
