Fun for the Whole Family

The 4th of July is coming up fast and, with parades, live music, festivals and, of course, fireworks, the City of Temecula is pulling out all the stops to help their community celebrate America’s birthday with a bang!

School may be out but the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library is keeping your head in the game with their Read for the Win Summer Family Programs.

On Saturday, April 23rd at 9:30 am, the 8th Annual Special Games gives athletes with developmental disabilities the chance to really shine.

Spring has sprung and the Temecula Public Library is starting off the month of March with a little magic, messiness, and a salute to one of the most beloved children’s authors of all time.

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but jolly old St. Nick is returning to the Promenade Temecula on Saturday, November 21st – just in time for Black Friday sales. But instead of his reindeer or a few of the elves, this year the man in red is bringing everyone’s favorite blockhead.

It’s the beginning of a new school year and the Temecula Public Library has put together some exciting and innovative programs to make the transition back to education much easier for local teens. Held on one Monday per month through December, the library’s fall teen programs use themes like pop culture and holidays to provide teens, grades 7 through 12, with creative, educational enrichment and teen building through fun activities with their peers.

Ahoy land-lubbers! You better hoist yourself up on your salty sea legs because family fun is taking to the high seas, metaphorically speaking, as the Build Your Own Boat Regatta floats back into the Community Recreation Center for the fifth time.

When the City of Temecula debuted the Eagle Soar Playground and Splash Pad, designed for children and families with special needs, it was just one more example of how our city leaders strive to include every member of the community in the fun. Now, Thursdays at Eagle Soar will feature even more fun and learning activities with special needs children and families in mind.

Have you ever been watching your kids play at one of the City of Temecula’s beautifully abundant parks and thought to yourself, “Man, I really wish I was watching ‘Big Hero 6’ right now”? Me too!

One of the best things about the summer months is the bountiful fruits and vegetables not available at other times of the year, but what some of you might not know is that harvesting fresh local produce, specifically berry picking, has become a favorite Temecula family activity. Grab a bucket and rub the kids down with sunscreen because there are two local berry farms that are ripe for the picking – Kenny’s Strawberry Farms and Temecula Berry Company!
