Xenia Live Concert Benefits Orphaned and Foster Children

Event Details:

Temecula high school girl turned successful recording artist, Xenia Martinez, now known simply as Xenia, is using her celebrity for a good cause this weekend, headlining an evening full of music, food, fun and entertainment, all to help support local foster parents and adoption families.

Now in its second year, the Rose Again Foundation is a local non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of foster and orphaned children in our community. After several mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico, Rose Again Foundation Founder Natalie Shandle started the charity as a way to open her heart and help children in need.

For this year’s Rose Again Foundation benefit, Shandle enlisted her good friend and fellow Temecula girl, Xenia, to help raise funds.

Xenia was only sixteen years old when she appeared on the first season of NBC’s popular singing competition “The Voice,” where she took second place on Team Blake. She has since been signed to a record deal by Universal Republic Records, released two albums, one independently, and even performed guest vocals for her “Coach” Blake Shelton’s holiday album, “Cheers! It’s Christmas.”

Xenia Live, the benefit concert, takes place this Saturday night, October 11th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Xenia will be performing songs from her new album, “Artemisa,” for the first time live on stage.

Although Xenia is the main attraction, the evening is filled with awesome musical acts including DuLaney and Co., Bethany, Liza and Hannah and Resonate!, which is a touring young people’s vocal group.

In addition to the stellar musical line up, the event includes a raffle and silent auction, with over forty baskets filled with great prizes.

“Our auction baskets include four Park-Hopper tickets to Disneyland, a sailboat cruise for six, dance and gymnastic certificates, wine, dinner gift certificates, movie tickets, piano lessons, jewelry, original art, handmade quilt and blanket and so much more,” Rhonda Reinke, Rose Again Board Secretary said.

Refreshments will be available for purchase from local event sponsors Panini on Wheels, Bongiorno’s Pizza and Jamba Juice.

Tickets to Xenia Live are $18 for adults, $10 for children 17 and under and those under the age of three are free. Additionally, tickets can be purchased for $10 each and gifted to a local foster or adopted child. If still available, adult tickets at the door will be $20 and children will be $10.

Doors open at 5:40 pm and the first performer will begin promptly at 6:00 pm, so arrive early.

If you are unable to attend Saturday’s show but will still like to support the Rose Again Foundation, they will be the benefit charity for the Temecula Half Marathon and 5K, later this month. For more information on how you can participate in either the concert or the running events, please visit roseagainfoundation.org.

“Xenia Live benefits local foster children and the families who foster and adopt them,” Reinke said. “It’s a great show for a really great cause and so come on out and bring the whole family.”
