Promenade Temecula Goes Off-Roading with Action Sports Expo

The Promenade Temecula is about to get a little dirty when the Off Road Nights Dirt Lifestyle Festival returns on Saturday, August 6th.

Now in its fourth year, the ORN Dirt Lifestyle Festival brings the ultimate in off-road action sports to the Inland Empire, including everything you need to know before you start kicking up some dirt. The ORN festival highlights all of the core disciplines of off-road sports including desert and sand racing, rock crawling, adventure vehicles, motocross and more.

“The Off Road Nights Dirt Lifestyle Festival is an off-road expo with vendors, displays and demonstrations as well as the off-road car show,” Rat Sult, event organizer, said during a recent interview. “We are going to have every type of off-road vehicle, from trophy trucks to motocross to dirt bikes.”

Held from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the full day of filthy fun includes a vendor expo, off-road car show, live motocross, UTV and race truck demos, jeep rock climbing zones, dirt lifestyle fashion booths, and autographs with some of the off-road industry’s top racers.

In addition to sports-related vendors and vehicles, the event will feature live music and entertainment, a kid zone, food and beverage booths, including beer from festival sponsor Budweiser, and the return of the Miss ORN Pageant; a yearly tradition which marks the culmination of the day’s events.

The adrenaline-fueled event has grown substantially since its inception in 2013; changing venues in 2014 from Old Town to the Promenade Temecula as a way to accommodate the overwhelming amount of eager off-road enthusiasts who attended the inaugural festival. Attendance at last year’s event was over 10,000 people and the ORN staff anticipate an even bigger turnout this year.

Although Off Road Nights is geared toward certain outdoor activities, Sult doesn’t want to pigeonhole the event’s attendees to those who already partake in these kinds of muddy action sports. He also wants to educate the public on the off-road lifestyle and hopefully gain a few new recruits.

“If you’re interested in getting into anything related to off-road or motorcycles or anything you’d use to play in the dirt, where people take to the sand and have fun, this is the perfect introduction to the lifestyle,” Sult said. “People can bring their families down and come check out all the different genres of off-road.”

Sult looks forward to the success of this year’s Off Road Nights Dirt Lifestyle Festival and the prospect of continuing the annual tradition of filthy fun for the whole family.

“We want to make ORN a staple event here in Temecula; kind of like the Rod Run of action sports,” he said. “Every type of off-road sport will be represented so it’s the perfect opportunity for anyone to come see what it’s all about.”
