WOW! World of Wine Event Pours into Temecula

The Temecula Valley becomes a whole world of wine this weekend and what a wonderful world it is!

On Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association presents their annual World of Wine (WOW) Barrel Tasting event, which allows ticket-holders to explore everything Temecula wine country has to offer, all in one weekend.

The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association is non-profit organization whose goal is to market the wines and wineries of the Temecula Valley. The WOW event is the organization’s way to showcase their members in a fun and inviting way.

For one ticket price, WOW attendees have the opportunity to explore all 30 wineries in the winegrowers association. Ticket-holders will be given a map of all participating locations, a souvenir wine glass and an event passport before they begin their epic tasting journey.

Guests at each winery will take a self-guided tour and will be provided tastings – by barrel or by bottle – paired with food samples from some of the highest-rated chefs in the valley. With wine country becoming as much a culinary destination as it is a wine-lovers mecca, WOW guests are definitely in for quite a treat.

“Event guests are greeted at each winery into a separate area from the public tastings,” Peggy Evans, Executive Director of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association said. “Some wineries have music and entertainment, but the goal is for guests to visit as many wineries as they’d like; not to stay in one place for too long. They might miss some great wine if they did.”

Two-day tickets to the World of Wine event are $99 per person. Sunday only tickets are $79 per person; designated driver tickets are $69. All tickets are will call and are available for pick-up between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm on the day(s) of the event. World of Wine guests will be notified upon confirmation of their ticket purchase as to where their check-in is located. All guests must be 21 and over to attend.
