Photo Gallery: Alpaca Hacienda Open Ranch Day 9/27/2014

Temecula went crazy for alpacas on Saturday, September 27th, as the local breeders and animal lovers at the Alpaca Hacienda hosted their yearly Open Ranch Day. Hundreds of visitors were able to feed, pet and take photos with the furry little South American camels, as well as purchase items made from their soft fleece. Alpaca Hacienda co-owner Beth Osborne conducted seminars about the care and lifestyle of alpacas, as well as the many uses for their fleece including socks, scarves, hats and even stuffed toys.

Open Ranch Day is an annual event commemorating National Alpaca Farms Day and, for the hundreds who stopped by the ranch on Saturday, the event was as educational as it was soft and fluffy.
