Put on your finest lace dress and oversized hat because the City of Temecula’s 25 Days of Fun is about to get fancy!

On Saturday, November 22nd, the Temecula Valley Museum and the Old Town Spice and Tea Merchant present their Silver Anniversary Tea Party, celebrating the 2 ½ decades since the city’s incorporation.

The community is invited to come down to the Temecula Valley Museum from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and sample a tasty variety of teas and light refreshments. The first 50 guests to arrive will receive a free ceramic tea cup, courtesy of Old Town Spice and Tea Merchant.

In addition to sipping a little English Breakfast or Darjeeling and munching on a crumpet, guests are invited to peruse the Temecula Valley Museum’s special exhibit for the 25th anniversary celebration, which includes photos, videos and other items depicting the story of Temecula’s transformation from a small ranching town to the modern day city it is today.

In honor of Temecula’s rich history, the Silver Anniversary Tea Party will include a few special details adding to the celebratory ambiance of the afternoon.

“We will have two ladies from Temecula Valley Historical Society there to serve the tea in Victorian Costumes, portraying two historical characters from Temecula’s past,” Tracy Frick, Temecula Valley Museum Services Manager said.

Though reservations for the tea are not required, you can RSVP by calling the Temecula Valley Museum at (951) 694-6450.

The Silver Anniversary Tea Party is just one of the exciting events planned as part of the City of Temecula’s 25 Days of Fun; a celebration of the official anniversary date of December 1st.

The 25 days includes a number of activities, events and online opportunities for residents, which began with the Patriotic Salute to Veterans on November 11th and will end with the popular annual yuletide event, Santa’s Electric Light Parade. This year the parade has a special 25th anniversary theme as the perfect finale to culminate the 25 days of new memories.
